At Meadows Women’s Center, every patient has a story—and Josselyn’s is one that speaks volumes about resilience, compassion, and the power of community.

Josselyn, under the care of Dr. Haleigh Edgar, was pregnant with monochorionic diamniotic twins—a rare type of twin pregnancy that carries an increased risk of complications. From the start, her pregnancy was closely monitored.

But when a serious complication developed during her second trimester, Josselyn had to travel over 700 miles to receive a specialized procedure. Thanks to her strength and the expertise of her medical team, the procedure preserved the life of her healthy twin. While the loss of her other twin was excruciating, Josselyn remained focused on protecting the child she was still carrying, showing incredible courage in the face of unimaginable decisions.

Even in the face of such sorrow, Josselyn remained focused on her baby’s health, but tragedy struck again—her home was robbed, and all her baby supplies were stolen. As if that wasn’t enough, she soon faced yet another medical emergency: an urgent cesarean section at just 35 weeks.

Through it all, Josselyn’s courage never wavered.

When our team at Meadows Women’s Center learned of the robbery, we sprang into action. Mary, one of our longtime medical assistants, led a donation drive to replace Josselyn’s stolen supplies.

Joined by Dr. Edgar and Sophia, the team gathered essentials and personally delivered them to Josselyn while she was still in the hospital. It was a small act of kindness—one that reminded all of us what it means to be part of a community that truly cares.

Today, Josselyn is holding her healthy baby boy—living proof of her determination and the incredible support surrounding her. Dr. Edgar describes Josselyn as “one of the most genuine, optimistic, and courageous women I have ever met,” and we couldn’t agree more.

Josselyn often credits her strength to her faith, and we are so honored to have been part of her journey. At Meadows Women’s Center, we are committed to walking alongside our patients through every high and low, ensuring they receive not only expert care—but also the compassion and support they deserve.
